Woodburning

I felt like working on my hiking staff yesterday and I asked my friend Kane if I could borrow his wood-burner. For the last few days I have been thinking on what I would like to do in order to decorate my hiking staff. There are many ideas floating around in my head, but after looking at drawings, tattoos, and other art about Fenrir I found the one that I wanted. I have a relatively strong passion for wolves, and I truly enjoy the history, mythology, and overall symbolism of what Fenrir stands for so it was an easy choice on what I decided to do. I found this runic Fenrir drawing on deviantart, and it truly captivated what I was trying to go for in decorating my hiking staff.

My artistic skills are not that great, so I asked Kane if he could try doing the outline of the drawing on the hiking staff.

It came out great in my opinion!

After he got done with the outline I got to work on the hiking staff with his wood-burner.

So far so good! Now all I need is a little cooling down, and then back to work.

I am highly satisfied on how it ended up looking, and especially since it was my first try with wood-burning.

Afterwards Kane got inspired and starting to do a little wood work on his staff.

Overall it was a good day working on my staff! And now I can wear my Fenrir ring with my staff.
